Couple Offers Painted Selfie As Housewarming Gift

“We’re pretty others-focused,” says Jared Mitchum of Templeton, IA. “So, when Suzie and Greg told us they were buying a house, Jane and I knew we needed to knock their housewarming gift out of the park.”
Jared and Jane have been friends with Suzie and Greg since high school, and are now excited to be in the same neighborhood. While other friends arrived at the housewarming party with “lame” gifts like pre-paid VISA cards, lawn care tools, and pizza, Jared and Jane took the opportunity to reveal their recent masterpiece.
“We contracted a legit artisan painter to paint our very favorite selfie,” says Jared with a smile. “Jane and I snapped this one while on vacation last year. We look so good. Hashtag, #bestever. Houses should be full of love, and nothing says love like an epic painted selfie of your best friends… us. We know they’ll like, love, and want to share it.”
While Jared offered suggestions for placement, like over the fireplace or above the bed in the master bedroom, Greg and Suzie seem unsure of where it will land.
“We want to be sure we find the perfect spot,” says Suzie with a smile. “We’re just not sure of quite where that is yet.”
