Quick Tip on Getting Honest Customer Feedback
Most contractors I know have some sort of survey they give to their customers when they finish the job. Many times, the surveys are long and detailed. I think for awhile that worked. Yet now with all the online reviews that are available and everything is so much more fast pace, I believe the surveys need to be shorter and right to the point.
You as a contractor really want to know if your customer is a raving fan. If not, what can you do to make them customers for life?
In the video below, I share one simple tip that simplifies the survey using a rating system (aka NetPromoter). It is a little old school! It involves the old fashioned mailer with a stamp on it. Finally, I believe you’ll get a far more honest answer using the scaling system if you are not standing there while the customer fills it out. That is why I like a customer to mail it back.
Note: If you know you did not please the client in the job, or even a reasonable doubt, then deal with what you know he/she was unhappy about before you give this survey out.
