It’s very easy these days to share images you find interesting on social media or your company blog. In fact, it can be a little TOO easy… If you are using images for business purposes, you just need to be especially careful about what you are sharing and make sure you have the proper license.
Unfortunately, I have my own cautionary tale from this past month to share… I hope this helps prevent you from any sort of photo licensing/usage headaches!
While working for my dad’s painting company in San Diego (many, many years ago), I once received an estimate request from a prospect through our website, and noticed that he had an unusual first name. I also noticed that he sent the request through his Blackberry, so I knew he was reasonably tech-savvy.

A few years ago, I started working with a painting contractor who got very few leads from his trucks and yard signs. He probably averaged a couple per month at most.
