Wrap Up Your 2014 Marketing Budgets & Calendars
This is just a quick reminder to begin the final planning for 2014 if you have not already begun. I did a lot of planning meetings in November with clients and have just a few more to wrap up by the 13th. All my clients did not create a “set in stone” marketing budget. They are working budgets with room for changes and tweaks as we move through 2014. The goal really is to have a realistic budget of how you will spend your marketing dollars based on several factors. Many will look at 2013 actual dollars spent, total leads that came through the door and the 2013 revenue. They will then make 2014 budget changes based on staying the same or growing their business. Once the budget is set, then we begin creating a marketing calendar of events with timelines, who does what, when the task are do, etc. This helps to make sure that everything we need to do for each marketing activity gets done. We do this for creating copy for an ad, blog writing, community events and much more. A marketing budget and plan will not be all that helpful unless you have the rest of your business goals and objectives running smoothly as well. If you need assistance with business planning or coaching, please look at contacting and working with Summit Services. They also provide several other key services that might be of interest: call center, bookkeeping and recruiting.
